אירועי תרבות ויצירה ברחבי ירושלים
For three millennia, Jerusalem has revealed one mystery after another, in whispers, in shouts, directly or through glimpses. And the world continues to watch. Waiting. Longing. Yearning.
Jerusalem moves to an impossible beat; one that exists in a place where cold white stones, thousands of years old, meet the sleek glass surfaces of new skyscrapers; where polar opposites and communities from different worlds meet on the street corner, saying Shalom in thousands of ways. The beat is impossible — both slow and fast, moving forward and backward in time simultaneously.
In our never-ending journey in Jerusalem, extraordinary stories are born. We at the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Foundation and the Jerusalem Foundation invite you to come and hear, see, feel and dance to the beat and stories of the city — our city.
Over the course of 40 days and nights, SidraTarbut (CulturEvents) welcomes residents of Jerusalem and people from throughout Israel to a series of remarkable, rich and inspiring cultural events and encounters extending across the entire city, from east to west. Musical events, dance, theater, cinema and other performances will take place in both traditional culture venues and in unusual places specially adapted to host this year’s events. Even in this terribly painful year, we are continuing to create and promote culture as an expression of life.
This is our way of telling you, Jerusalem, that we intend to continue sharing your fascinating story with the world.
